This is a foil (chrome) decal with translucent red ink.
Notice the shape is not as "jellybean-ish" as the original decals, so may not fit an original MX900/MX1000 caliper - this is the decal used on the new re-issue MX1000 brake calipers (reissued beginning 2011).
